The natural world, especially trees, weaves throughout much of my work. The design of the finials (rimonim) suggests branches of the ‘Tree of Life’. Torah finials—literally pomegranates that decorate the Torah scroll during worship services—are fringed with oval tubes. Rather than using traditional bells, I was inspired by wind chimes in a tree. The breastplate is inscribed with the Hebrew text that is translated, ‘And all its paths are peace’ (Prov. 3:17).
